Graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2006, Annika came directly to the Ripley-Huron Veterinary Clinic to start her career and continues to be a cornerstone of the team. Born and raised in the rural Kincardine-Ripley area, Annika has enjoyed being able to come home and work with the large diversity of species and clientele this area has to offer. In her spare time, she likes reading, walking, riding and volunteering with non-profit charities and organizations.
Dr. DeGroot was born and raised on a pig farm in Zurich Ontario. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2006. Dr. DeGroot has worked as a mixed animal Veterinarian and has an interest in working with large animals including Beef, Dairy and Pigs. Dr. DeGroot has knowledge with disease prevention in livestock and on farm. He has also worked with Ontario Pork on projects including PED surveillance, biosecurity, anitmicrobial use/resistance and CPE Validations. Dr. DeGroot lives with his wife Tracy and has three children. They also have two dogs Maggie and Daisy. When he is not working he enjoys watching and playing sports, including hockey and baseball.
