Jayne Ritchie, Receptionist
Jayne joined our team in 2001 as the receptionist at the Lucknow-Huron Veterinary Service, a satellite office of the Ripley-Huron Veterinary Clinic. She has always enjoyed chatting with people and loved working with animals both large and small. She is married with 2 children, 1 dog, 1 barn cat and a few dairy cattle. Jayne and her husband recently retired after more than 25 years operating a 40-cow dairy operation. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, camping, gardening and decorating.
Wendy Annett, Veterinary Assistant
Wendy graduated from the Ontario Agriculture College at the University of Guelph with a diploma in Agriculture in 1996. She has worked as a Veterinary Assistant since 1997. Wendy has several years of working experience in veterinary clinics as she has worked at 3 other veterinary practices prior to starting with the Ripley-Huron team. Wendy and her husband have a beef farm near Mildmay, and she is the proud mother of 2 beautiful little girls. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking and walking with her German Shorthair Pointer.
Debbie Braun, Veterinary Technician
Debbie graduated in 1988 from Centralia College of Agriculture Technology from the Animal Health Technician program. She grew up on a beef farm near Bluevale and her love of animals started at a very young age. She worked at the Seaforth Veterinary Clinic for 10 years before taking a 7 year leave of absence to raise her 4 children; Nicole, Alexa, Lucas and Zane. She started with the Ripley Veterinary Clinic in 2004. She is actively involved in community activities and loves to volunteer and be involved in many community programs. She recently accepted a position on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Easter Seals Society. She lives in Whitechurch with her partner, Jay, and her 4 children, as well as with her step-children Damen, Amber and Jordan part-time. Her love of family includes all her children but her pets are also one of her greatest loves. She has a black lab, "Cinder", a Shihtzu, "Oliver", and a cat named "Jack". She has been a technician for 23 years and enjoys her job with all of her heart.
Robyn Bridge, Registered Veterinary Technician & Groomer
Robyn has been working at the Ripley-Huron Veterinary Clinic since 2000. She graduated from Niagara College with a diploma in tourism marketing in 2005; however decided that the field of veterinary medicine is where she wanted to be. She then attended a pre-health course at Fanshawe College before going on to complete a full time correspondence program through Thompson Rivers University. Robyn completed her correspondence program in conjunction with the Ripley-Huron Veterinary Clinic and graduated in December 2010 as an Animal Health Technician. Robyn enjoys working as a technician, but also enjoys grooming at our Ripley and Huron Shores offices. She enjoys travelling throughout Canada and to warmer countries during the winter months in her spare time.
Jessica Newman, Veterinary Technician & Receptionist
Jessica graduated received her diploma in Veterinary Technology from Georgian College in 2011. in 2011 she also started working as a receptionist/technician at the Huron Shores Veterinary Service in Port Elgin - a satellite office of the Ripley Huron Veterinary Clinic. Jessica owns three cats - "Scarface", "Zoey" and "Sophie", whom she loves very much. She grew up with three brothers and four sisters on a farm in the Kincardine area. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, playing video games and playing the piano. Jessica is currently working on earning her "registered" status as a Veterinary Technician.
